You will be remunerated between $148,319 – $170,000 per annum in a central Melbourne location.

Assistant Director, Infrastructure Advice :

This role will :
** Identify, develop and advise on practices, policies and guidance material to support improved investment decision-making and improved delivery of major infrastructure and ICT project/programs across the Victorian Government;
** Lead the development of strategic advice to Government and agencies in relation to the scoping and delivery of major infrastructure and particularly ICT projects to ensure appropriate risk management, governance and application of commercial principles and practices in a complex, dynamic and sensitive operating environment.
** Provide leadership in relation to the implementation of the Gateway Review process and provide advice to support the continued improvement of the Process, including developing mechanisms to ensure that lessons learnt arising from reviews are effectively communicated and embedded into improved project delivery practice.
** Facilitate best practice project/program development and delivery across the Victorian Government, through improved co-ordination and information sharing and supporting capability building across the Victorian Public Service.
** Work closely with peers to ensure that a broad range of DTF skills and views are considered in providing advice to ministers and departments.
** Develop and maintain strong communication channels within the Department, across the Victorian Government and with other jurisdictions.
** Represent the Department in senior steering committees and working groups on specific major projects, consulting and liaising with key stakeholders in the Department and across the broader public sector as required.
To succeed in this interesting and challenging role you will have :
** Very highly developed analytical and conceptual skills with demonstrated experience in analysing and distilling complex information and providing strategic policy and/or commercial advice and recommendations.
** Knowledge and understanding of infrastructure and ICT project procurement processes and governance and risk management issues, combined with commercial acumen.
