A vacancy has arisen for a Mechanical Assembly Supervisor
Key Responsibilities :
** Health and safety
** Day to day organisation and forward planning to ensure maximum efficiency and utilisation of labour
** Progress of build relative to targets set to meet delivery dates
** Quality of build and sign off record keeping
** Procurement of Assembly Shop consumable stock and control of cost relative to budget
** Control of stores kitting/marshalling of parts
** Control of holidays in line with Company guidelines
** Enforcement of Company Attendance Procedure
** Workshop discipline and housekeeping
** Daily/weekly briefing of staff on performance relative to targets
** Improvement/diversification of individuals skills and Apprentice training
** Control of hours worked and daily sign off of time sheets
** Maintenance and care of Workshop tools and equipment
This position will require some travel (including overseas) as the projects demand
The Person :
** The ability to communicate across relevant departments
** Previous mechanical assembly experience is essential
** Must be a man-manager with the ability to successfully deal with and interact with people from all levels of the business
** Have good quality awareness
** Possess excellent organisational skills
** Possess a positive attitude
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate will be time served and/or be qualified to NC/HNC level (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
