Candidates for this position should be able to achieve the following functions:
Preparation of cheques, bank transfers after proper verification of invoices and supporting documents.
Verifies the accuracy of documents and posts daily transactions to journals, ledgers and other records.
Responsible for finalizing month- end trail balance and prepare supporting reconciliations for receivables, banks and payables.
Regularly monitor bank, receivables, payables and stock balances and ensure they are properly reconciled with GL balances.
Provide assistance in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
Reviews regularly account receivables balances and work closely with the collection team for the recoverability of balance due from customers.
Reviews stock balances, draw ageing reports and indicate about stock nearing expiry.
Review payable balances and ensure payments are made in accordance with the credit terms.
Qualifications & General Requirements:
University degree in accounting
3- 5 years of work experience in the same or equivalent position
Fluent in both Arabic and English
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (candidates having knowledge on Microsoft GP will be preferred)

Ensure the settlement of outstanding accounts according to credit terms.
Notify customers of debts and outstanding payments by mail, telephone, or personal visits to solicit payment.
Be responsible for collection of payment from customers.
Liaise with accounting department to locate and monitor unsettled accounts, using computers and applied systems.
Record information about collection status of customers and prepare reports on collections to the accounting department.
Review customers’ credit limits and accounts, send monthly statements, issue escalation or final notice letters, and refer unpaid accounts for legal action.
