Associate Applied Scientist – Freshwater.
Programs, Quality and Operations Unit :
** Full Time, Fixed Term until 30 June 2016
** $58,630 – $64,911 plus 9.5% superannuation
** Assist with the delivery of freshwater science projects
** Complete field sampling planning and data collection in freshwater environments

The Applied Sciences Group generates, accesses and delivers excellent and responsive applied sciences knowledge, programs and solutions to enable the decisions of EPA as a world class regulator.
As one of three units within the Applied Sciences Group, the Programs, Quality and Operations Unit develops and delivers applied sciences programs that add value to EPA’s priorities and provide excellence in technical operations as well as building and coordinating quality assurance processes, tools and procedures to support the Applied Sciences Group.
The Unit :
** is focused on excellence in program and technical delivery to support the Applied Sciences Group and EPA.
** develops and delivers applied science programs (e.g. RiverMap, Yarra and Bay Action Plan, Beach Report, and a citizen science program) and is the line management home for all contractors to deliver these programs.
** plans and delivers our current and future technical and asset requirements including data and information infrastructure, buildings, other facilities, equipment and machinery.
** creates and maintains the multiple sources of data inputs for use by all in ASG.
** plans and delivers budgeting, reception and administrative functions for the ASG.
** develops and delivers an excellent quality assurance and auditing function for all of ASG.
