Job Description:
The Senior Auditor assists the firm in meeting its business objectives by identifying business risks, maintaining the control environment, and advising on opportunities for process improvement.
The Senior Auditor is responsible for:
** Assisting in the development of risk management objectives and audit programs;
** Completing operational, financial, and compliance audits in accordance with the audit plan and professional standards;
** Providing practical, value-added recommendations to improve risk management practices as well as the efficiency and effectiveness of business operations;
** Assisting in preparing audit reports, including the evaluation of risk management, governance, and control activities;
** Following up on open audit issues;
** Providing consulting services to business management leading to improvements in the control environment or operational effectiveness;
** The Senior Auditor works under the direction of the Chief Auditor.
What Sets This Role Apart from Other Internal Audit Roles :
The Internal Audit function is new at Standard Capital Markets and is focused on business value-added services. Audits and consulting engagements at INTERFiDES are selected based on risk or importance to the firm and the Internal Audit Department is expected to make meaningful contributions to the firm’s operation.
Consequently the Senior Auditor will :
1) Have an opportunity to participate in building an Internal Audit function;
2) Work on audits of strategic value to the firm;

Requirements :
** 3-7 years of experience in an audit, consulting, or risk analysis;
** The ability to analyze situations, draw appropriate conclusions, and make value-added recommendations;
** A strong sense of structure and organization skills;
** Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Writing skills are particularly important.
** Process management skills;
** Change management skills;
** Inquisitiveness;
** Thoroughness and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills, Attributes, and Experiences :
** An understanding of the investment management business, business processes and related risk implications;
** Knowledge of audit methodologies and standards;
** Knowledge of software development, data security, and technology infrastructure;
** Financial product knowledge, including knowledge of equities, swaps, futures, and OTC derivatives (equity, FX, interest rate);
** Project management skills;
** Knowledge of approaches to enterprise risk management;
** Innovativeness
Required Education :
B.B.A. / B.S. in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Engineering.
Preferred Certification: CPA, CIA, CISA
