Junior Analyst :
Minimum Requirements :
Deeply interested in a career in financial services

Duty Station :
The individual must be willing to work in Belize City or City of Belmopan and capable of working together with culturally diverse team and clientele. Domestic and international travel will be required.

Specific duties and responsibilities :
Your main responsibility as a Junior Analyst is to assist the Firm with data gathering, statistical compilation, financial analysis, market research and report writing.

Specific tasks would involve, but not limited to, the following three areas :
1. Statistical Duties :
i. Compile financial statement, industry and economic data for use in Firm’s analysis framework.
ii. Aggregate statistics from source materials, such as financial statements, other financial and management data, surveys, relevant literature and industry and economic data.
iii. Assembles and classifies statistics, following prescribed procedures developed by the Firm in Microsoft Excel or other computational software.

2. Research Duties :
i. Analyze financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry, and economic conditions for use in making investment decisions.
ii. Assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to illustrate technical reports;
iii. Develop and communicate conclusions and recommendations to senior management through analysis reports.
iv. Monitor and evaluate client and industry conditions.

3. Technical Support :
i. Edit final reports and prepare PowerPoint presentations on reports.

Qualifications :
Education and Training :
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or Accounting. Training and experience in the following categories of software applications : spreadsheets Intermediate to Advance (Microsoft Excel); word processing (Microsoft Word); presentation (PowerPoint); database (Microsoft Access);

Interpersonal Skill :
Proactive, tenacious and enthusiastic about business and finance. Engaging personality; ability to maintain composure under stress; inquisitive; extreme care about the details.

Organization and Coordination :
Excellent verbal and oral communication skill; strong organizational aptitude.

Other Important Characteristics :
** Highly numerate with strong analytical and problem solving skills;
** Eager for additional responsibilities and looking for career progression within the Firm.
** Strong sense of responsibility and ability to put in extra hours as required. Being able to work within a team or alone as necessary.
