Coordinator, Interpreting Services :
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Coordinator of Interpreting Services at the Jamaica Association for the Deaf (JAD).
Job Functions include :
** Providing Interpreting Services
** Identifying and mentoring young interpreters
** Providing support for the development and maintenance of a Registry of Interpreters
** Functioning as an adjunct staff for interpreter training at the tertiary level
** Spearheading advocacy for subsidized interpreting services
Requirements :
** B.A. Degree required; M.A. Degree preferred
** Certification as a Registered Interpreter
Experience in :
** Training
** Interpreting in varied settings (educational, legal, medical)
** Programme Design and Implementation
** Supervision of personnel
