1. Desktop Application Engineer : Based in Perth, WA
HealthEngine is looking for talented and experienced desktop application engineers to join our small and dedicated team in Perth. You’ll be creating innovative solutions that will be used by millions of Australians day in, day out.
You’ll be part of a small team designing and building custom solutions from the ground up in short 2-3 week sprints. You’ll be working with C++ using the Qt framework, git, NSIS, and whichever IDE you can poke a stick at.
There are very few layers of management, and virtually no managers who can’t code. There are no time sheets here; what you produce is more important than the number of hours you work. When we’re not talking about work, we’re arguing about iOS vs. Android, the latest Humble Bundle, and the quickest way to level up our toons in Diablo III.
What you’ll do :
** Create elegant solutions on Windows and/or OS X that integrate with Australia’s plethora of health practice management applications.
** Develop and maintain HealthEngine’s standalone software on Windows and/or OS X.
** Ensure the solutions scale to tens of thousands of health practices across Australia.
Who we’re looking for :
** You’re a self-confessed nerd. You code for fun!
** You love solving problems. “Can’t be done” isn’t in your vocabulary.
** You have excellent understanding and working knowledge of C, C++, and/or Objective-C. (You still remember how pointers work!)
** You’ve been doing this for at least 3 years.
Bonuses include :
** Deep experience with desktop database systems.
** You’ve built applications that have been deployed to hundreds or thousands of desktops, and you’ve had to maintain them.

2. Front-End Web Engineer : Based in Perth, WA
HealthEngine is looking for talented and experienced front-end web engineers to join our small and dedicated team in Perth. You’ll be creating innovative solutions that will be used by millions of Australians day in, day out.
You’ll be part of a small team designing and building custom solutions from the ground up in short 2-3 week sprints. You’ll be working with HTML, CSS, JS, jQuery, Bootstrap, PHP, Photoshop, git, and whichever IDE you can poke a stick at.
There are very few layers of management, and virtually no managers who can’t code. There are no time sheets here; what you produce is more important than the number of hours you work. When we’re not talking about work, we’re arguing about iOS vs. Android, the latest Humble Bundle, and the quickest way to level up our toons in Diablo III.

Design and develop beautiful, functional interfaces and tools that people love to use.
Who we’re looking for :
** You’re a self-confessed UX nerd. You build websites for fun!
** You have excellent understanding and working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JS, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
** You create pixel-perfect designs and have the smarts to code it up responsively and across multiple browsers.
** You know how to work with the back-end engineers.
** You’ve been doing this for at least 3 years, with a portfolio to back it up.
