DESCRIPTION : Junior Structural Designer
Designer will be responsible for advising our truss manufacturing customers.
Job responsibilities include:
Develop truss-manufacturing designs from architectural drawings to job specific standards.
Occasional visiting of job sites to discuss product quality/specs and resolve issues or concerns with building site.
Ensure plan design development meets required specs and timing deadlines.
Ensure the overall quality of the design and timely delivery of the finished design.
Unique Factors :
Drivers licence and own vehicle.
Must reside in Kempton park or surrounding area (East Rand).
Willing to work long hours.
REQUIREMENTS :
Truss Designer Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year design experience in the roof truss Industry.
Computer skills – 1 year experience as a user of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point and recognized draughting package (AutoCAD LT)
Good communications and customer relationship skills are essential.
Logic and reasoning skills are required for problem solving.
